Classified Industry – Explosive Atmosphere (ICPE, ATEX)
ATEX Zones
Each ATEX zone is standardized according to its level of hazard based on the type of combustible material and the environment.
Each ATEX zone (ATmosphères EXplosibles) zone is defined and standardised according to its degree
of hazard, taking into account the nature of the combustible (gases, vapours, mists
or dusts) and its emission environment.
Two main families of ATEX zones are distinguished, defined by the European standards Directive 2014/34/EU (for equipment) and Directive 1999/92/EC (for users), as well as by standard EN 60079-10 :
Flammable gas, vapour or mist zones – classified according to the frequency and duration of presence of the explosive mixture :
Zone 1 : explosive atmosphere likely to occur
occasionally
Zone 2 : explosive atmosphere unlikely to form, and if it does form, it persists only briefly
Combustible dust zones – classified according to the same frequency criteria :
Zone 21 : explosive atmosphere likely to occur
occasionally
Zone 22 : explosive atmosphere unlikely to form, and if it
does form, it lasts only a short time
ATEX Flexible Door
The ATEX stacking flexible door and the ATEX roll-up door integrate seamlessly into your environments and are perfectly suited to your risk levels. All our doors are French-made and comply with current regulations.
ATEX Door – Indoor
Explosive Atmosphere
Explosion-risk atmosphere zones represent a major safety challenge for industries. Therefore, equipment used in these zones must be certified and designed to minimize the risk of ignition.
Our Profil PI ATEX roll-up high-speed interior doors are also configurable in ATEX versions. Maximum standard size: (W) 3,000 × (H) 3,000 mm.
ATEX High-Speed Door
ATEX high-speed doors are designed to take the environment into account while ensuring you maintain all the advantages of a fast door. Thus, the ATEX industrial high-speed door helps improve flow and isolate specific areas. BA2i systems are robust and require minimal maintenance intervention.
Exterior Stacking Door
Our exterior stacking doors are available in standard, medium, or large dimensions (up to 10 × 10 m). Moreover, the entire Cadence range from Ba2i Technologies is available in ATEX configuration.
